Halloo,

If you are a nature-lover and you are visiting Ireland, live in Ireland, or live somewhere near Ireland. May I suggest a visit to Powerscourt Waterfall.

The natural beauty of Powerscourt Waterfall is awesome. You must see it to appreciate it.

What’s more, is the fact that it is even children friendly. Mine loved Powerscourt Waterfall so much they are already asking when we are going back again.

The waterfall is not the only thing you will enjoy in this location. There is a playground for children with many amenities to delight children.

Families can even have a proper day out by having a barbecue and picnicking in the open air with the waterfall in the background. Sheer joy.

For those who don’t want the hassle of bringing their own food from home. There is a small shop on location that sells Ice-cream, burgers, chips, Coffee, beverages, and many other things.

For those who do did not bring mats to sit, there is a sitting area close to the children playground.

You must pay a small fee to enter though. Adults pay €6, while children pay €3.50. A family of 2 adults and 3 children will pay €16.

The gate opens at 9.30am and closes at 7.00pm in summer.

The waterfall in Powerscourt is the highest in Ireland. It cuts through rocks and falls in an idle manner that makes you wonder whether it is right to call it a waterfall. But whatever you decide to call it; it is undeniably beautiful and surrounded by beautiful scenery.

The rocks surrounding Powerscourt waterfall are very easy to climb. I think a lot of work went in to make sure they are safe. Climbing them is such fun.

The stream under the waterfall is so clear. The water is so pure. I washed my face with it.

Powerscourt is a vast estate with acres of wooded green land, so it is home to many wildlife animals. You might be lucky and spots one or two when you visit.
