Halloo,

Yeah, I know and I am grateful. Getting older is a blessing.
But, can I have my long hair back please?

I am only joking. Getting older is a blessing denied to so many, I am grateful to be alive.

Not that I won’t love to have my long hair back, but I know that is a dream that just wont become a reality. I made peace with that a long time ago after years of dealing with alopecia.

I can’t remember what year this picture was taken, it is either late 90s or very early 20s. I am glad to see it though, a nice reminder to myself that I once had such beautiful long hair. Also, to show my children that once upon a time my head was covered with hair, real hair not wig.

I have no regrets, all good memories. As far as I am concerned, mine wasn’t a youth wasted. I made my mistakes, had my problems, and try to navigate life as best as I could with what was given to me. I don’t think I did too badly.

The journey is not yet over. I am trying to absorb the opportunities that are within my reach right now, doing my best to make myself happy without hurting anyone in the process.

I hope to be able to look at my pictures right now in 20 years time and smile with happiness.
