Nobody can pour from from an empty cup. When you pause to place your needs above everything else, you are recharging your energy and mental health. This way you are in better shape to help others more. Your family and community will benefit more from you.
The opinion you are about to read here are entirely mine. Bare in mind that I am an introvert, I don’t keep lots of friends. I enjoy my own company and quite like solitude. So my opinion may not be to your taste, especially if you love having a lot of people around you.
My self- confidence benefited a lot as I see my progress. A reminder that I am not doing too badly. I have seen improvements in my self-esteem and self-worth. And people’s negative opinions don’t affect me as much as before. I also criticize myself less. Because I know that despite my challenges I am not totally useless.
Heaven forbid a woman wants to look good just for herself. It is not possible in some people’s books. It has to be about a man somewhere. Nothing to do with her morale, confidence, or happiness.
I am a fibromyalgia Warrior, that means I live with constant pain and it’s associated problems. I am not going to explain anymore why I can’t do some activities. I am tired of explaining myself out of guilt to people who refused to understand.
